食品伙伴网讯 据外媒报道， 2015年1月10日华盛顿将新开一家“一八”（One Eight）酿酒厂，这是本地第二家酿酒厂，酒厂的名字表达了创办人对特区历史的纪念。
酒厂的名字“一八”（One Eight）表达了从法律角度对这座城市历史的认可，即美国宪法的第1章第8节规定，设立哥伦比亚特区作为国家的新首都。一八酿酒厂主要生产和销售伏特加、白威士忌、杜松子酒以及陈酿威士忌。

WASHINGTON, Dec. 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- One Eight Distilling - only the second distillery to open in Washington, D.C. since prohibition - will officially open its doors on Saturday, January 10, 2015, offering public tours, sampling, and spirit sales from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at the distillery's northeast D.C. facilities.
Customers will be invited for a behind-the-scenes glimpse at One Eight's 7,500 square production space, and given the opportunity to sample and shop for bottles of District Made Vodka （a rye-based vodka with a smooth, clean flavor） and Rock Creek White Whiskey （a rye-forward un-aged whiskey with hints of spice and pepper）。 One Eight's Ivy City Gin, named after the neighborhood where the distillery is located, will be released in subsequent weeks.
